The inspirer of the painting was the great german performance artist Joseph Beuys.
Any player learning golf will only keep a thought or a theme for a certain length of time, it should then be either partly rubbed out or completely eliminated. The empty space can now be filled with a new thought, or a half erased idea can be drawn over, and allowed to resurface when, and if needed again.
